Now that you are officially an Ox St. Kitchen Member, you’l want to get into the kitchen as soon as possible. Complete these requirements to begin booking time in the kitchen.
Order of Operations
- Create your Account with our Online Platform, The Food Corridor
This system handles all bookings in the kitchen, billing, and even tracks your permits and documentation. Upload a payment method before advancing to the next step.
- Schedule Your Inspection for your Food Dealer’s Permit

Let them know that you will be in our kitchen (Ox Street Kitchen) and that you want to schedule an inspection for your Food Dealer’s Permit.The City will want you to have an updated Texas Sales Tax and Use permit with our address:

- Purchase Your Liability Insurance (FLIP Insurance available in The Food Corridor)
Kitchen members must have a valid certificate of insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance. Be sure we are listed on your policy as “Additional Insured” and the insurance company will want our name and address:

Ox St. Kitchen Requirement
Kitchen members are required to sign our agreement which includes our policies, procedures and code of conduct before they can book time in the kitchen.

City of Houston Requirement
As you may know, the City of Houston requires anyone that sells or serves food to obtain a Food Dealer’s Permit. Speak with our team before you apply.
- [ ] Food Manager's Certificate |
City of Houston Requirement
Every kitchen member must have a Food Manager’s Certificate available on-site at the kitchen should a City of Houston official request it.
- [ ] Food Handler’s Certificate* |
City of Houston Requirement
Any employee or contractor of the kitchen member must have a Food Handler’s Certificate. *Not required if the employee or contractor has a Food Manager’s Certificate.

Ox St. Kitchen Requirement
Kitchen members must have a valid certificate of insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 Commercial General Liability Insurance with Ox St. Kitchen listed as an additional insured.
